Greekos Grill and Cafe - Gyro Over Rice

Fresh food prepared with care.

At Greeko’s, we offer many fresh, made-from-scratch dishes seasoned with distinct Mediterranean spices. Our tzatziki, spanokopita, moussaka, keftedes meatballs and Greek dressing are all made from recipes developed by owner/chef Mustafa, from his own traditional family recipes. We are proud to bring these dishes to Southwest Virginia because it’s unlike anything else in the region.

At Greeko’s we select the finest lamb gyro, feta cheese, ground beef, and salmon we can buy. We offer crisp veggies and warm, fluffy pita bread. We may be casual dining, but that doesn’t mean we sacrifice quality ingredients. We know you can taste the difference, and we promised to always keep things fresh.

For the entire family.

We understood the importance of offering a wide selection of dishes. That’s why we also offer burgers and fries, spaghetti with Greek tomato sauce and baked chicken parmesan. In the spirit of family, Greeko’s has a special menu and coloring sheet for the kids.

I’ve always enjoyed cooking. My grandmother is Greek so food and family have always been the center of my life.

It was no surprise when I decided to go into the restaurant business. I have had the opportunity to open restaurants all over the world: London, Alexandria, New York…the list goes on.

I found my way to Virginia, when I agreed to help some close friends with their restaurant located in Abingdon. It was only meant to be a temporary visit, but I quickly fell in love with this town. When me and my wife, Sara, found out we were expecting a baby girl, we both quickly realized that Abingdon offered the kind of lifestyle and sense of community we wanted for our growing family.

The people here are so welcoming. I’ve made friends who feel more like family. The community here is very supportive of our business, so it’s important for us to return that support. We support our local high school, Abingdon High. We sponsor town events. Discounts are given to the local colleges’ faculty, staff and students: Virginia Highlands Community College and Emory and Henry College. And we are happy to support Barter Theatre because we value the arts and we value the theatre’s economic impact to our town.

My family loves being in this community, and we invite you to become part of the Greeko’s community. Stop is soon, say hello, and grab a bite to eat!
